Get the best of both worlds at the same time with Parallels!

Published On May 12th, 2008 (1 hour ago) by Ray Marotta

Virtualization solution from Parallels (called Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac) allows nice integration between Windows and your Mac.
Parallels call this feature “Coherence” for its ability to hide the Windows desktop and make it appear as if your Windows applications are running directly on your Mac. VMware Fusion also has the same feature called “Unity”. It also works very well, although not with Windows Vista, yet.
Coherence completely allows Windows and Mac Users to get the best of both worlds at the same time. It works very nice!  With this feature Parallels Desktop now goes even further to deepen OS integration and create a seamless user environment.

Parallels vs VMware - A Review….

Published On April 11th, 2008 by Ray Marotta

Evidently, Virtual machines are a hot topic!

I recently purchased a MacBook and now think about how to run my favourite and useful Windows apps on it. The software market offers several virtualization solutions and Apple Boot Camp – a free utility from Apple allowing users to run Windows on a Mac.
First of all, I didn’t use Boot Camp as it requires me to reboot for changing OSes, so this solution doesn’t work for me as I prefer deeper integration.
I  compared  two  solutions from virtualization software vendors: Parallels Desktop for Mac from Parallels and VMware Fusion from VMware. The products are absolutely similar at the first sight that’s why I tried to describe both product benefits in this review.
